If you are visiting or travelling through Batu Pahat, you should definitely visit this place. The coffee is amazing and the food was tasty and fresh! Even the owner spoke to us, a very kind person!

“Local Big Coffee Bean”

Rengit is famous for its own Malaysian local coffee bean which is big as compared to other countries. It is also known as the Elephant coffee bean and tastes slightly bitter.

“Jumbo Size Coffee Bean.”

The name is quite misleading, it not only serves coffee but also a variety of local and western food and coffee. The must try is the jumbo coffee bean.

“Good hangout spot”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 March 2015
I love to hangout at good modern coffee shop like this because of their choices of menu which is quite interesting. Not too heavy, and yet not too light. You can have choices of noodles, nasi lemak, sandwiches and even fries. Selection of coffee is also very interesting, but I would prefer their old fashioned hot drinks in a small porcelain cup. The price is also quite affordable. The place is cosy and surrounded with other shops and banks. However, during weekdays, it will be hard to find parking as Jalan Rahmat is really a busy street, day and night.

Their Vietnamese coffee is a must try. And of course their mango chicken rice and Singapore laksa also quite nice to try. Support local brand and have a good afternoon coffee break here is one of ur smart choice.

“Excellent local coffee”

Owner is renowned coffee trader from Rengit, Johor. Serves BP famous Rengit white coffee. Coffee house chain set up like Old Town coffee but coffee quality is definitely better. Prices are also lower compared to Old Town. Their outlets are located at BP Mall, Aeon Big, and Jalan Rahmat and are usually crowded during weekends. Also serves food like western chicken chop , fries etc. Their Vietnamese style brewed coffee is both economical and tastes great.

“Surprisingly Good!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 May 2014
This coffee cafe is worth your visit. I tried the one in the town centre and service was good. Parking space is hard to find during the day but hey, come night and the surrounding shops are closed, there's no problem with parking at all. The coffee is very good. Try the Special, with its unique blend of coffee beans. At RM3.90 a cup, the flavour and aroma will convince you that this cafe is worth making a return visit. Besides coffee, there are daily 3-course meal specials comprising a main meal, a drink (coffee included in the choices) and dessert. I didn't try the food so I can't comment. The restaurant's name is Rengit Coffee, not Rengit Restaurant. So, go for their speciality. You won't regret it.

“Not impressive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 April 2014 via mobile
My friend highly recommended this place so we tried it. I think there are much better coffee elsewhere...
I tried their Danga Special. It smells nice but has little taste. There is a wide variety of food on the menu. We ordered several items but nothing impressive.

“Local Cheap Coffee at it's Best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2014
A new thing for me. Wasn't here when I was staying in BP about 8 years ago. Stopped by revisiting old places and decided to give it a shot. A wonderful place that gives an alternative to the much popular Old Town White Coffee franchise. If you're into genuine local coffee with a touch of average class, then you should get yourself here for a hot cup of caffeine - that is if you find that local coffee shops aren't your cup of tea.

Please be reminded that Rengit is not the only place in BP selling original local coffee as there are many other hidden gems in and about town offering it too! =)

“okay for a kopitiam”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2014
The coffee is really good. The place is clean and cozy. The staff not very friendly. The food, nothing to be proud of but better than Old Town. I once ordered waffle, and it soggy. Doesn't look like waffle at all. More like a crepe. Otherwise, nice to place to hang out, businesslike or not.

“Nice and simple kopitam”

Been to a few of its outlet in batu pahat, and like its local coffee taste. The main outlet is in Jalan Rahmat and also the biggest. Very clean and fiendly staffs with a lot of local favourite foods and snacks to choose from their menu. I like its vietnam coffee too. The sitting areas are spacious and very good place for hangout over a cup of coffee and not too costly too.

There are three Rengit Coffee in Batu Pahat. One is in BP Mall, another in AEON Big and the last in town near the post office. The local coffee is aromatic. Though I try the waffle which looked pathetically thin with too much honey.

“For Coffee Lover”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 December 2012
Considered as the best coffee in the southern region, there are wide variety of coffee beans to choose from. For coffee lover like I am, this is certainly a dream come true as you have the opportunity to try out each of the beans.

If the coffee is good, the food here is even better. Choose from a variety of local cuisine or if you prefer western food, there are many to choose from.
What a better way to enjoy your meal and sipping coffee at the same time while watching people go about their daily business.
